Our Favorite Pepper Spray

Our favorite pepper spray is called the Sabre Red "lipstick" pepper spray. It looks like lipstick or a travel-sized perfume. It's cute, compact, and discreet. Each dispenser contains 12 bursts with a range of 10 feet; so if there is more than one attacker, you will be better prepared.

This particular formula contains a UV marking dye. This dye stains clothing and skin, making identifying an attacker much easier than ever before.

One of our Favorite Small Stop the Bleed Kits for EP Agents

FEPG recommends all EP agents carry a stop-the-bleed kit that can be accessed at any moment during a detail. IFAK stands for Individual First Aid Kit. We have selected the MediTac Intermediate Bleed Control Pack because it is small, includes a C.A.T. tourniquet, Israeli bandage, heavy-duty sheers, gauze and more. However, the only addition we would make,  one that would have to be bought separately, would be a few packages of a hemostatic agent called QuikClot Gauze.

Prepare: Top 3 Best Self Defense Weapons for Women

Before reading this article, please understand that without situational awareness, proper weapon training, mental training, and having some degree of physical fitness - no weapon can keep a anyone safe.

No gun will stop a surprise attack from behind by someone capable of overpowering the victim. For example, if Big Jenny is sitting at the park not paying attention - little Becca can sneak up behind her and hit her in the head with a baseball bat. Yes, big Jenny had a gun on her, but the gun proved itself useless in this situation because Big Jenny was unaware of her surroundings and was unable to defend herself.

Understanding these facts, please proceed to read our top 3 defense weapons for women.

Training: Detecting a Threat

The Female Executive Protection Group wants to help our listeners spot a threat before it becomes dangerous. Remember - the best way to eliminate a threat is to detect it and then avoid it. Even if we try to remain blissfully ignorant, there are threats everywhere we go. There is always a "bad guy" hanging around hoping to have the opportunity to pickpocket, assault, or carry out a simple crime. The following are all techniques/cues/warning signs that can be used by the everyday woman or professional protection agent to help identify a threat. That being said and regardless of the situation, human behavior has always been rather difficult to decode and there are still masters of disguise who are nearly impossible to detect. Also, we want to stress that there are multiple types of threats and the following list of techniques/cues is not all inclusive.  Please read our disclaimer before proceeding.
